Visitors to Brabourne Lees were shown the village's creative side last weekend (October 18 and 19) as 13 local artists opened the doors of their studios to show off their work.

The event was organised by Sue Chapman after she and photographer Liz Garnett took part in south east open studios.

Organiser Sue Chapman said: "We had an absolutely wonderful time and we were very well supported by the village.

"Several of the artists managed to sell at least one painting as well which made it a success in all ways."
